Biography

Nick Souter is Conservation International's Freshwater Senior Manager for Cambodia. He leads the implementation of the Families and Fisheries Resilience Building Model which improves the livelihoods of people who live on Cambodia's Tonle Sap Lake and the biodiversity and the natural resources upon which they depend. He is also a member of Conservation International's Freshwater Health Index team and has conducted assessments of the Sesan, Srepok and Sekong River System and Tonle Sap Basin. Nick's wider interests include environmental water management; freshwater ecology; endangered species conservation; environmental monitoring and decision making; climate change and capacity building. He has worked in a variety of environments from Cambodian rainforests to the deserts of central Australia.
