Biography

Alaina is the wildlife research specialist for the Central Arizona-Phoenix Long-Term Ecological Research (CAP LTER) program. She received her MS at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where her research focused on bird interactions with the invasive plant privet in semi-urban forests. She has extensive past field work experience with a variety of avian taxa in research, outreach, and environmental consulting settings. Much of her past work has occurred within bird communities of Arizona and she looks forward to the chance to continue to advancing this knowledge.
