Fracture Zone: Making Loss Visible

Osha Gray Davidson

  • Award-winning Photographer and Journalist

The Central Arizona Conservation Alliance (CAZCA) invites you to explore the power of photography for advocacy and conservation. Learn about the lands and water above the largest copper deposit in North America (outside Superior, AZ). Plans for mining this region could impact sacred Native American cultural sites, water and habitat—home to endangered and threatened species.

Osha’s work has appeared in National Geographic, Scientific American, Rolling Stone, Sierra and many other print and online venues.

The ASU Center for Biodiversity Outcomes partners with CAZCA on a joint fellowship posting of qualified postdoctoral students to lend their research and expertise towards critical conservation issues. In addition, CAZCA and CBO work in collaboration with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature to identifying local plant and animal species.

Complimentary refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP to
