Please join us in celebrating School of Sustainability doctoral student Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Joe Knott for his White House Champion of Change honor.

Lt. Col. Knott has dedicated his career in national security to clean energy and climate security. Before enrolling in the School of Sustainability, Lt. Col. Knott served as the National Guard's Sustainability and Energy program manager, instilling sustainability and environmental stewardship in the Guard's practices and soldiers. He has also served as the Army Compatible Use Buffer Program manager and established conservation zones within military testing and soldier training areas to protect endangered species and preserve natural landscapes.
