For the Love of Life:
Environmental Crisis and Environmental Action

Roger S. Gottlieb

  • Professor of Philosophy, Worcester Polytechnic Institute

Roger S. Gottlieb is the author or editor of 20 books and over 100 articles on environmental ethics, political philosophy, religious studies, contemporary spirituality, and fiction. He is internationally known for his work as an analyst and exponent of religious environmentalism, for his passionate and moving account of spirituality in an age of environmental crisis, and for his innovative and humane description of the role of religion in a democratic society.

In this talk Gottlieb will discuss how the great miracle of life on earth—human and non-human alike—is under threat from human action. How can we face these facts? How can we understand them? How can we respond?

Refreshments will be served.
