New ThermoHeart™ Engine for Waste Heat Recovery and Renewable Power Generation

Every day, all over the world, tens of millions of dollars of valuable heat energy is wasted by being vented to the atmosphere, and there are few good options for waste heat recovery (WHR) below 100kW. One important tool developed to meet this challenge is Cool Energy’s ThermoHeart™ Engine, which converts low-temperature wasted heat into clean electricity. In this technical talk, Sam Weaver will discuss the theory and practice of low-temperature power generation.
Sam Weaver leads Cool Energy, Inc., a power conversion equipment company located in Boulder, CO that develops energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions and is a certified benefit corporation (B-corp). Sam also sits on the Board of Directors of Proton Power, Inc, a biomass power and fuels company. He is a member of the City Council of Boulder and has previously served on the State of Colorado Clean Energy Development Authority, and the Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association.
