Sustainability and the Business of Fashion: A Conversation with Students

Tracey Martin

  • Sustainability Strategist; Author, Sustainable in Stilettos

Are you an ecologically minded student with a flair for fashion?
Do you wonder where your clothes are made and how?
Do you hate the idea of sweatshops and believe that people who make our clothing should be treated better?

Join a community of experts, designers, and students around Arizona for a week of education, engagement, and entertainment exploring eco fashion, slow fashion, and sustainability in the business of fashion. Arizona ECO Fashion Week is a collaborative effort to engage Arizona designers, businesses, academics, youth, students, experts, and leaders in the community to explore a new frontier in the business of fashion: the ECO Fashion.

In this student-lead AZ ECO Fashion week event featuring Daniella Simari, Barrett Honors College Student and partner with the Fair Trade Campaign at ASU, students will be leading a conversation about Fair Trade practices and the business of fashion and sustainability. We are also looking for Student Ambassadors who will inspire other students, peers and various clubs, to post pictures under the #whomademyclothes #azecofw #ASU #ASUSustainability #ASUFashion #ASUBOF.

Use both #whomademyclothes and #azecofw and you can be featured directly on AZ ECO Fashion Week's website AZ ECO Fashion Week's website and get a shout out for their partnership in the event on their Instagram.

Fair Trade refreshments will be served.
