Understanding the Logic of
Adaptive Collective Behavior

Bryan Daniels

  • Assistant Research Professor, School of Complex Adaptive Systems, College of Global Futures, ASU

This Making Sense of Complexity talk, hosted by the new School of Complex Adaptive Systems in the College of Global Futures, features Bryan Daniels with the ASU-SFI Center for Biosocial Complex Systems, a joint venture between ASU and the Santa Fe Institute.

From neurons in a brain, to fish in a school, to people in a society, the aggregated behavior of groups can be both highly coordinated and surprisingly inscrutable. In this talk. Daniels will delve into his recent work that uses data from a variety of collective systems to infer the logic that guides their decisions.
