Biography

Priya is a visiting researcher at the Swette Center and comes from a background in medicine and systems biology. She is interested in how food systems impact health, not only directly, but also through effects on communities and the environment. She grew up in Van Nuys, California and recently moved to Tempe where she enjoys seeing the beautiful Sonoran Desert through the lens of food and sustainability. She holds an MD and PhD from the University of California at San Diego.
