Biography

Maddie was an undergraduate student majoring in Earth and Environmental Studies with a minor in sustainability. With a strong interest in the relationship between natural science and social science and under the advisement of Clara Therville and Marie Chandelier, she researched and compared the media coverage of the desert locust outbreaks that occurred in 2004/2005 to that of 2020. She is now a graduate student working on an MS in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation specializing in Wetland Restoration at the University of Florida.
