Biography

Sydney Millerwise is an Biology PhD student who started in 2022. She completed her BS in sustainability with honors at ASU studying locust reproduction and host plant choices. Her master’s thesis will center on insect immune function in response to biopesticides. She is interested in developing an in-depth understanding of insect immune responses to better inform outbreak treatments and support integrated pest management in areas most affected by locust outbreaks.
