Black Food Sovereignty:
"To Free Us, We Must Feed Us"
Drinking Gourd Farms is building a movement of Black gardeners, farmers, and homesteaders focused on the physical, mental, and spiritual health of Black people through agriculture, political education, environmental stewardship, and culture-rich healthy cooking.
They are developing a collective food sovereignty practice across Phoenix that is securing independent, community-determined healthy food sources that liberate Black people from the industrialized food system.
Join us for a robust discussion with movement leaders: Ken Chapman, Ibado Mahmoud, and Khalil McCullen, and Cofey.
