Stories and Action to Sustain the Southwest Foodshed

Hai Vo is a young scholar seeking food justice within his lifetime. He is a community outreach fellow with the California Food and Justice Coalition and organizes with Live Real, an organization harnessing the power of young people to transform the food system in policy and practice. Hai is the 2009 recipient of the Earth Island Institute's Brower Youth Award for his efforts with the Real Food Challenge, a campaign to increase sustainable-food procurement at colleges and universities.
In this talk, Hai Vo will use storytelling and graphic facilitation to identify local needs and resources that will help sustain the foodshed around ASU.
