Nature Contact: A Public Health Strategy

Howard Frumkin, DrPH, MPH, MD, was the former director of the Center for Disease Control's National Center for Environmental Health. He is nationally recognized for his research, writing, and teaching on the human-health dimensions of climate change, urban design, sustainability, and nature contact.
In this talk, Frumkin will review current evidence on the beneficial effects of nature contact for human health and well-being. This discussion will focus on how this body of science is evolving, and relate it to larger sustainability considerations.
