Shi Han is an industrial ecologist who examines the application of eco-industrial development and the circular economy and their implications for resource efficiency and climate change in China. He consults for the UN, Asian Development Bank, World Bank, European Commission, AusAID, and multinational companies. He’s the founding director of the Beijing-based Center for Environmentally Sound Technology Transfer. He earned his PhD in industrial ecology from Yale in 2010.
In this talk, Shi Han will discuss China’s emerging practice of applying natural capital balance sheets in pursuit of an “ecological civilization.”
