Coming from a background in design, Alex Billingsley created and patented a vertical gardening system in 2012 that is now sold nation wide.
Especially in hot cities like Phoenix, vertical gardening systems in urban settings can reduce potential food insecurity by producing at-home vegetable and herbs.
In his talk, Billingsley will discuss the benefits of vertical gardening and principles of universal design that can be applied to both commercial and residential areas.
A light lunch will be served.
