Winona LaDuke is an internationally renowned activist focused on sustainable development, renewable energy, and food systems. She lives and works on the White Earth reservation in northern Minnesota, helped found the Indigenous Women's Network, and ran twice for Vice President on a Green Party ticket with Ralph Nader. As executive director of Honor the Earth, she works nationally and internationally to champion climate-change action, renewable energy, and environmental justice with Indigenous communities.
For the past four years, LaDuke has been engaged in fighting pipeline proposals in Anishinabe Aiking, the Ojibwe homeland. This past year, when the Dakota Access Pipeline movement exploded into the national spotlight, she was there, lending support. Come hear one of the most tireless fighters for environmental justice in modern times, as she reports on what lies ahead in the climate-change movement.
