Biography

Dr. Ana Guzman, Director of Community Health and Education studied medicine at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where she learned how to treat a person and the importance of prevention. She has been active in public health and preventative medicine training and education development for 15 years. With her experience, her focus is on teaching disease self-management programs to trainers and patients. Empowering and helping people in how to achieve a healthy lifestyle, prevent disease, and manage their conditions is her passion. Dr. Guzman volunteers her time with the Valley of the Sun Community Leadership Board of the American Diabetes Association and with the Diabetes and Community Health Workers Coalition.
