Biography
Alicia Bayon is an assistant research scientist at Arizona State University working on redox active materials. She completed her PhD at IMDEA Energy (Madrid, Spain) in June 2014. In July 2014, she joined CSIRO Energy (Newcastle, Australia) as postdoctoral fellow where she worked on discovery novel materials for hydrogen production, energy storage and CO2 capture as well as hybridizing solar energy with industrial processes. She has been working in 6 international research projects and consortiums, 2 of them with companies. She is author of 30 research articles and has delivered more than 40 conference presentations (7 of them as invited speaker). While in Australia, she was Stream Leader of Solar Fuels and Chemistry of the Asia-Pacific Solar Energy Research Conference for 2 years. She has received 3 awards, the last one a CSIRO Science Excellence Achievement 2019, being the researcher with the highest number of publications of the year in her research group. She has been supervising 10 students at all levels in collaboration with Australian universities. She iwill join ASU in August 2020.
