Biography
Carly is a recent graduate of the Swette Center, holding an MS in Sustainable Food Systems and a certificate in Food Policy and Sustainability Leadership. She holds a BA in International Affairs from Lewis & Clark College. She has been working in food systems in various capacities since 2014, including as a farm worker, food systems and environmental educator, and non- profit founder. In her current position, she researches Hawai'i food system solutions including improving food processing infrastructure and supporting Hawai'i's small and native farmers. Her other research interests include examining community- based food projects and the effects of colonialism on traditional ways of relating to the land.
