Biography

Gillian is the instructional designer for the professional and custom education programs, as well as for the master’s level academic courses, at Arizona State University’s (ASU) School of Sustainability. Prior to ASU, she worked as the principal instructional designer for Western International University in Tempe, Arizona preparing professional training courses for such customers as Cisco, National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors, and Manpower. She also worked for Pearson Custom Curriculum Development (North American Division) preparing online curriculum for universities both at home and abroad, including Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Gillian has developed courses in most subject areas, including biostatics, psychology, and epidemiology. She has also worked for Pearson Schools (online division) as the lead developer of the English language arts portion of a suite of digital courseware offerings for high school students.

Gillian brings over 10 years of instructional design experience in preparing both business-to-business and academic course materials. She has a Master’s in Education and is a former English teacher for public, private, and charter schools. When not developing online courses, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and spending time with family.
