Biography

Dr. Bojórquez's investigations are within the scope of the analysis of decision making and the development of tools for spatial modeling, and have applications in the areas of resolving environmental conflicts, conservation planning, land suitability assessment and environmental impact assessment. In processes watershed management, modeling of species distribution, design of nature reserves and identification of priority areas for conservation, and integrated various analytical instruments to geographic information systems (e.g., modeling multi-criteria fuzzy logic and mathematical programming areas).

His projects are related to the management of conflicts of interest between the parties involved in environmental issues, to the management of multidisciplinary teams; and coordination of both research and actions on policy development in the public, private and governmental sectors as well as with federal, state and municipal authorities.
