Biography
I am an engineer by qualification although my research interests align more with sustainability. My previous research has included developing a tool to quantify global carbon emissions in supply chains of industries and services. I believe that to combat global climate change there cannot be one sweeping policy due to the diverse nature and origin of emissions in each country. Hence, to understand what policy will be most effective where, the first step is to measure and quantify emissions along each phase of the supply chain.
Climate Change mitigation begins with implementing relevant policies, however in order to understand and formulate those policies a broader comprehension of the problem is required. Only by learning how business practices and systems contribute to climate change, can one begin to address the task of mitigation. The way we produce, transport, consume and re-use and how businesses, communities and individuals perceive climate change all play a part in how to find effective and worthy solutions.
