Current Revolution: Nation in Transition

Join the American Resilience Project, the ASU Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory and the ASU School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies for the premiere of the documentary, Current Revolution: Nation in Transition. The film focuses on the closure of the Navajo Generating Station—the West’s largest coal-fired power plant—and the Navajo Nation’s efforts to deal with its impacts and embrace renewable energy.

The 30-minute film examines how we, as a nation, can transition from fossil fuels to clean energy in a way that builds resilience and new opportunities for the communities and workers affected by the energy transition.

Following the premiere, participate in a Q & A with:

  • Roger Sorkin, Director of Nation in Transition, founder, American Resilience Project
  • Paul Hirt, Co-Producer of Nation in Transition; Professor Emeritus, School of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies
  • Edward Dee, Executive Director, Office of Navajo Government Development
