Unbreathable: The Fight for Healthy Air
The American Lung Association is soon to release its 22nd Annual State of the Air Report that assesses air quality across the US. In the past, the Phoenix metro area has ranked 7th in the nation.
Join us for a virtual screening of Unbreathable, a 30-minute film that weaves historical milestones of our critical health law, the Clean Air Act, with stories of environmental injustice and community action. Nearly half of all Americans still live in areas with unhealthy levels of air pollution, particularly those in poorer communities. In addition, recent research links air pollution to higher cases and deaths from COVID-19. Yet, environmental regulations and the enforcement of existing laws are being stripped away.
