Join us as we welcome our panel and special guest Sandra Postel who directs the independent Global Water Policy Project. She lectures, writes and consults on global issues and leads the National Geographic’s Change the Course campaign. The panel will discuss the role of institutions in managing the Colorado River to support a range of ecosystem services including meeting the environmental demands of riparian areas and restoring the wetlands of the river’s delta.

Kathryn Sorensen has been involved in water issues in Arizona for 15 years and helped create the City of Phoenix’s recently launched Colorado River Fund.

Jonathan Koppell has written and lectured extensively on the design and administration of complex organizations in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors for the provision of public goods.

Rhett Larson’s recent research focuses on the impact of technological innovation on the law governing transboundary waters, as well as on the sustainability implications of a human right to water.

Grady Gammage’s work at ASU’s Morrison Institute focuses on urban growth and development, quality of life, and local economic issues.
