11th Annual "A" Mountain Restoration Project
Join Keep Tempe Beautiful and help clean up and restore walking and hiking trails on "A" Mountain, otherwise known as Hayden Butte. Let's walk the talk and give back to the mountain we love too well! We will:
o Clean up trash and litter
o Repaint rails and trash cans
o Trail maintenance
Where to Meet
Hayden Butte Park Preserve, just north of Tempe Mission Palms
What to Bring
Hat, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes, water, gloves (if you have them), and clothes you don't mind getting dirty! City of Tempe Public Works staff will provide all the tools we need.
We encourage you to walk, bike, or light rail. Coffee and snacks provided.
Your time slot will start and end on time; we won’t ask you to stay longer; you can sign up for one session or multiple sessions! Note that the Preserve is sacred to the Akimel O’Odham (Pima) and Piipaash (Maricopa) Indian Communities, and we will not be stepping off the trails (even if we see trash).
8:00 - 11:00 a.m. (Three Shifts)
