2018 Point-In-Time Homeless Street Count
Calling all volunteers. The City of Tempe is conducting a Point-In-Time Homeless Street Count, an annual community-service event taking place in Tempe, across Maricopa County, and throughout the nation. Data collected helps providers to better understand the homeless situation in their community and to apply for federal, state, and regional funding for housing and human services.
Volunteers MUST attend a Volunteer Training Session on January 16th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to be assigned to a team and learn how to properly count and interview people experiencing homelessness.
The actual count takes place on Tuesday, January 23rd from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
To volunteer, RSVP below and attend either the January 9th or 16th training sessions. In addition, download the official registration form here.
