A Career in Innovation: Dan Purtell, The British Standards Institution

  • Director of Innovation at British Standards Institution

Dan Purtell is responsible for the development of The British Standards Institution’s (bsi) global innovation strategy and digital transformation. Across 193 countries, bsi works at more than 128,000 sites, from the world's largest and most successful brands to local small businesses solutions and services to improve performance and support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Dan leads a global team responsible for the creation and deployment of disruptive technologies and services across all business units. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, an MBA from Arizona State University and holds an ACE certification for Strategy and Innovation from MIT.
