Duan Biggs visits ASU to discuss equity in conservation
Duan Biggs is the new Charles Olajos and Ted Goslow Chair for Southwestern Environmental Science and Policy at Northern Arizona. The Center for Biodiversity Outcomes, in partnership with the Center for Behavior, Institutions and the Environment, is hosting Biggs during a visit to ASU in early November, where he will give a formal presentation on equity in conservation, then lead a discussion with faculty and students on the pressing conservation challenges of today. Broadly, Biggs’ research interests include conservation science, resilience, nature-based tourism, and community and stakeholder dialogue and engagement. This visit is representative of CBO’s efforts to build networks with conservation scientists across the globe.
