Earth Day 2021 Celebration

Join us for a special Earth Day celebration as we launch a new symposium series that explores topics of the moment and impacts made through the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory

This event will feature a conversation among three internationally recognized, globally oriented scientists:

  • Peter Schlosser, Vice President and Vice Provost of Global Futures, ASU
  • Greg Asner, Director, Center for Global Discovery and Conservation Science, ASU
  • Haunani Kane, Assistant Professor, School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning, ASU

They will discuss the state of the planet’s climate, oceans as leading indicators of biodiversity change, and how Arizona State University’s acquisition of the management of the Allen Coral Atlas further positions ASU as a leading institution for decision support and policy recommendation of ocean habitats.

We will also preview what is developing at the Global Futures Laboratory, including updates on our new home at ISTB 7, the positioning of the Focal Areas, and what lies ahead for this symposium series.
