Just Food Storytelling
In a mission to deepen the connection between ecology and faith, the Arizona Interfaith Power and Light presents: Just Food Storytelling, a co-sponsored event by the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability.
Food justice is communities exercising their right to grow, sell, and eat healthy food. Join us for magical evening of storytelling, as we hear from theologians, Agrarian activists, food growers, and artists who are sustaining our local food system and building self-reliant communities in the process.
Storytellers:
Gary Paul Nabhan, Agrarian Activist, University of Arizona
Darren Chapman, Tiger Mountain Foundation
Jeff Zimmerman, Hayden Flour Mills
Rabbi Jason Bonder, Temple Emanuel
Dan Abbott, Café Justo (Just Coffee)
Following the storytelling, there will be a percussion performance by: “Playing with Our Food”
Dessert will be served.
7:00 - 9:00 p. m.
