Food for Cities in the Anthropocene

Graeme Lang has developed and taught courses on: Sustainable Cities for the 21st Century; Energy, Environment and the Future; and Globalization and the Environment. He served on City University's Environment Committee, helped develop an Environmental Policy Studies undergraduate degree, and led the Department of Asian and International Studies.
As we move into a post-fossil fuels future, some cities will be more sustainable and food-secure than others. In this talk, Lang will summarize the arguments and counter-arguments for strengthening agriculture in and near cities.
