Watershed Management Group Workshop:
Hydrate Your Food
Ryan Wood
- Program Manager, Watershed Management Group
Rain tanks are like rain barrels, only bigger, better, and make your rainwater long lasting. While most rain barrels hold about 50 gallons of water, rain tanks can hold 1,000 gallons or more, capturing water from several storms and storing it for use over the course of many dry months. In this session, Ryan Wood will show you how to use rain tanks as an active form of rainwater harvesting to nourish your vegetable and herb gardens throughout the year.
As the Program Manager for Watershed Management Group Ryan Wood has an extensive knowledge in water harvesting and permaculture design. Ryan helps create sustainable livelihoods by applying his talents and educating the public through hands-on workshops, presentations, consultations, and integrated design services.
