Nancy Roulston sparks companies to improve their animal welfare practices and helps consumers identify humane products with the "Shop With Your Heart" program. Before joining the ASPCA, she was an animal-welfare consultant with international clients, including the EU BioBusiness and the Global Animal Partnership.
In this talk, Roulston will offer methods for tackling heated animal welfare issues in a society that has yet to face where meat, eggs, and dairy come from. She will explain the varying roles of science, law, culture, international trade, NGOs, activism, food corporations, farmers, and consumers, as well as identify priorities for moving forward together.
