Joyce Coffee is the president of Climate Resilience Consulting, a social enterprise that works with clients to create practical strategies that enhance markets and communities through adaptation to climate change. Coffee has 25 years of leadership experience in government, private, nonprofit, philanthropic, and academic sectors.

Since 1980, the US has sustained 279 separate billion-dollar weather and climate disasters. with total costs exceeding $1.8 trillion. Opportunities exist to fund and finance resilience that could help to stabilize or reduce these costs in the future. There are cost-effective ways to prepare for and recover from these events.

In this talk, Coffee will provide cases of resilience-related finance in the US as well relevant trends in resilience finance and tools to fund and finance a climate change-resilient future.
