Places for Human Beings:
Replacing a Broken System
Philip Allsopp
- Adjunct Faculty, School of Sustainability, College of Global Futures
Phil Allsopp's diverse career in the UK and US has spanned government service (office of the US Surgeon General) and the fields of architecture, public health, geospatial systems, and management consulting.
In this talk, Allsopp will discuss the prevailing supply chains and fragmented business processes typical of urban development/real-estate speculation projects, contrasting them with best practices from advanced product manufacturing development.
He will illustrate better ways of creating human habitats where shelter, energy, water, and food security are the norm and not the exception.
Moderated by Gabriel Jaramillo, Director of Healthy Communities for Vitalyst Foundation.
