Public Interest Technology University Network (PIT-UN) Annual Convening

PIT-UN is a partnership that fosters collaboration among nearly four dozen institutions of higher education committed to building the nascent field of public interest technology - the study and application of technology expertise to advance the public interest, generate public benefits, and promote the public good.

On November 1-2, 2021, ASU and the School for the Future of Innovation in Society will host the 3rd annual convening of the PIT-UN. Day 1 will feature working meetings of the network, including special sessions on topics related to PIT students and teaching PIT; the relationship between PIT and justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) activities; PIT and global inequities; and working with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations around PIT.

Day 2 will feature a public meeting on climate technologies and PIT, and the public announcement of the 2021 PIT-UN grantees, joining grantees from the previous two years who will present findings from their projects.

Registration for the meeting will open soon, and the meeting will take place online.
