School of Sustainability Alumni - Community Garden Maintenance & Harvest
Interested in gardening? Want a way to contribute to your community? Interested in meeting fun, sustainability-oriented people? Then join us for the School of Sustainability Alumni Monthly Community Garden Harvest Day!
Help us give back to the community of Tempe by putting in a couple hours of yard work at Escalante Community Garden. You do not need to be there the entire time. Fruits and vegetables harvested by the volunteers goes directly to the Tempe Community Action Agency Food Pantry.
Be sure to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and wear comfortable/temperature-appropriate clothing and shoes.
A light breakfast of bagels and coffee will be provided by the SOS Alumni Board of Directors.
Please note: Escalante Community Garden is actually accessible off of S River Drive. When plugged into a GPS, 2150 E. Orange Street takes you to the front of the Escalante Community Center. The garden is located on the backside of the community center.
