Dehgan and Bunje co-founded Conservation X Labs, an innovation and technology startup within the conservation space.

The scientific discipline and practice of conservation is facing its greatest crisis since its inception three decades ago. Despite winning many battles, conservation is losing the extinction war. This discussion looks to the future, contending that conservation science and practice must shift from a descriptive, discovery-based science to a field that seeks to engineer solutions or face the same fate of the species it seeks to save.
