Urban Garden Talk: Creating a Sustainable Urban Garden without a Soil Footprint
The Desert Marigold School is located on a beautiful, 12-acre campus at the foot of South Mountain. Their biodynamic garden, protected nature pond, and resident farm animals give substance to the school's commitment to sustainability as an intrinsic part of their curriculum. Christie Martin, Linda Roessler, and Sara Marie Wall work together on sustaining the Tower Garden Project. They believe teaching future generations more sustainable practices and thinking is the promise to securing our universal food systems.
In this talk, the team from the Desert Marigold School will present experiences, research findings, and results from their first year of growing produce utilizing the aeroponic tower gardens.
In addition to this talk, there will be a tour on Saturday, November 18th. Please RSVP separately for the tour here.
