Fall Forum with Tom Vilsack:
Climate Variability, Water and Land Use

Secretary Tom Vilsack

  • U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)

This event has reached capacity. Seats will be released 5 minutes before the start time.

Agriculture is rapidly evolving, and the USDA is constantly striving to meet the shifting demands of producers, consumers, businesses, families — and everyone in between. Over the past seven years, USDA has engaged its resources to support a strong next generation of farmers and ranchers by improving access to land and capital; building new markets and market opportunities; extending new conservation opportunities; offering appropriate risk-management tools; and increasing outreach, education, and technical support. There are great opportunities on the horizon, as well as the need to craft creative solutions to major challenges that USDA will face in the years to come.

This forum, focusing on Climate Variability, Water and Land Use, will include guests and featured speakers from diverse backgrounds: academia, government, farm organizations, local stakeholder groups and agribusiness, and include multiple opportunities for feedback and discussion.
