Water Narratives: A Multimedia Storytelling Experience
The Narrative Storytelling Initiative at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory invites you to this dynamic water narratives experience. While addressing critical water challenges facing Arizona, the Southwest region, and the globe, this multimedia experience will feature a variety of narrative approaches that can inspire and create positive impact.
This event will highlight exceptional works created by students in consultation with faculty who explored water issues and compelling ways to express them. It draws on a unique format that brought together six Arizona State University courses from both the College of Global Futures and the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, to both gain knowledge and apply creative craft. Faculty and students will also participate in a short panel discussion.
Water Narratives will present a selection of the best works in a variety of formats, including musical pieces, digital sound, video, photo art, theater, and dance, as well as live performances and more. Expect to see performances from faculty and other professional artists, too.
Following the initial 90-minute main audience show, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments while engaging with water experts, faculty, student creators, and the projects themselves. (There will be multimedia stations to watch and listen to the work.)
