Some say we should “do unto those downstream as you would have those upstream do unto you.” Never have we lived in a time when that sentiment is more true. Wildfires in our watersheds – often burning in the high elevation forests where our water comes from – have gotten significantly worse and more severe over the last several decades. Increasing temperatures, elongated drought, and overgrown, unhealthy forests are exacerbating these conditions. But we are also connected by the investments we make in our watersheds, whether it's restoring forests--or growing grapes and making wine.
In this panel discussion, learn from experts how wildfire, watersheds and wine are all inter-connected, and how we are working towards introducing healthy fire back to the landscape, restoring watersheds and protecting rivers, and promoting sustainable agriculture – through the viticulture lens – in Arizona.
