Wolves, Cattle, Humans: Art, Science, and Persuasion in the Gila National Forest

Zurkow and Leece will be presenting their project Gila 2.0 Warding Off the Wolf. This science and art collaborative project is a response to the grievance that wolf depredations are the cause of widespread livestock loss and intense emotional stress among Gila's rural populations. The project provides a "cattle armor system" of predator deterrent devices focused on the wolf; these are based on aversion and deterrent research conducted in animal cognitive behavior and predator control.

This lecture is part of the Arts and Humanities in Sustainability Series and ASU's Consortium on Interdisciplinary Sustainability Research Endeavor Series.

This event is part of the Arts and Humanities in Sustainability Series co-sponsored by ASU's Institute for Humanities Research, ASU Art Museum, and Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts.
