Michael P. Washburn - Diverse Perspectives on Driving Conservation
Dr. Michael P. Washburn is well known in corporate, NGO, and foundation circles for his expertise in corporate social responsibility, sustainable forestry, conservation advocacy, coalition building and campaign leadership. Michael has 20 years of experience in these areas and his career spans faculty appointments at Penn State and Yale University, senior staff roles at Forest Stewardship Council and The Wilderness Society, and more recently his work as Vice President of Sustainability at Nestle Waters North America. He is a regular public speaker and his interviews are widely available on the Internet including Forbes, NPR, The New York Times, Green Go Post, Triple Pundit, The Atlantic and others. He is a published author with multiple chapters and articles including a chapter in Eric Lowitt’s new book The Collaboration Economy and a chapter in The Business of Sustainable Forestry.
