Biography

For the past six years, Anne has worked at Desert Mission, the community service arm of the HonorHealth Hospital network, located in Phoenix. At Desert Mission, she started her career in community nutrition, education families visiting the Desert Mission Food Bank on how to cook healthy meals using fresh produce received on their visit. Identifying a need for additional resources and interventions, she expanded their programs to include several community and school gardens, a hospital CSA/Farm Stand program, implemented a standardized nutrition policy for the food bank, and incorporated innovative approaches to address food insecurity and health. As Anne's experiences and accomplishments have expanded, enrolling in a master's program will help in furthering her knowledge to bring programs to their full potential at her current and future employers. She plans to remain at HonorHealth Desert Mission full-time while completing her graduate program part-time.
