Biography
Christopher S. Hayter, PhD is an assistant professor at the Center for Organization Research and Design in the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University, where he specializes in entrepreneurship, technology policy, and the organization of higher education and science. He is also affiliated with the ASU Center for Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy Studies (C-STEPS) and is a Senior Sustainability Scholar with the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability. Prior to joining ASU, Chris spent 15 years managing complex science and entrepreneurship policy projects with organizations such as the New York Academy of Sciences, Council on Competitiveness, and National Academies Board on Science, Technology, and Economic Policy. He also spent five years in the private sector establishing and managing new resort ventures for a large hospitality company. He holds a PhD from George Washington University in Science Policy and Economics and is a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
