Biography
Elizabeth Brake is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Arizona State University. Her research is primarily in ethics and political philosophy. She is the author of Minimizing Marriage: Marriage, Morality, and the Law and editor of After Marriage: Rethinking Marital Relationships (both with Oxford University Press). She has held a Murphy Institute Fellowship at Tulane, a Canadian SSHRC Grant, and an ASU Provost’s Humanities Fellowship. She is currently working on a project on the state’s role in disaster response.
