Biography
Estève Giraud is an Assistant Research Professor at Arizona State University, and her research focuses on the integration of care theory and practices in food systems to enhance resilience and sustainability. At the Swette Center for Sustainable Food Systems, she works on multiple projects, including (1) organic agriculture research projects in collaboration with the Organic Trade Association and the Natural Resource Defense Council, and (2) research on policies to foster urban agriculture in low-income communities in Tempe, AZ. She is also the Director of Operations at Desert Haven Home Care, and a Strategic Advisor at the Zambakari Advisory. A French native, she wrote a book on the ethics of the organic movement published in France in 2014. Estève holds a Ph.D. in Sustainability from Arizona State University, a Master in Economics and Management from University Pompeu Fabra (Spain), and a Master in Business from Toulouse Business School (France).
